ORIGIN-ALITY, a 3D immersive + interactive installation

“WHERE ARE YOU FROM?” is a loaded question. As a Chinese-American, at times I wondered whether the context in which it’s asked is genuine curiosity, well-intentioned naivety or a micro-aggression. It shouldn’t be about marginalizing or alienating. Rather, we revel in our diversity.

In truth, our ORIGIN does shape who we are. For this art experience, it’s appreciating the multiple facets that shape us, based on the geographies, people and cultures that influence our life.
